Coffins
Choosing an appropriate coffin or casket is an important part of the funeral arrangement.
The choice is very personal. It may be influenced by personal taste, family tradition, religion, budget or concern for the environment.
At Anderson Maguire we can supply a wide range of coffins and caskets. From the most simple to the truly elaborate. Biodegradable options and even coffins which can reflect the hobbies and interests of the deceased.
We recognise that choosing a coffin or casket may be difficult; however, it would be inappropriate for us to do that for you although our team will offer advice and answer any queries you may have.
THE EMPEROR
This is a solid wood American style casket, upholstered in red interior with motif. This has been specially designed for the Chinese community.
THE SPEY
A polished raised lid superior coffin with engraved oval panels and semi casket bar handles. Usually made of oak or beech veneer.
THE ARRAN
This flat lid coffin is manufactured from engineered wood and finished with a gloss lacquer. Suitable for both burial or cremation, the coffin is fitted with brass effect handles
MERRION
A mahogany coffin with line detail and elevated lid and finished in high piano gloss. It is fitted with brass plated handles. This signature range coffin comes furnished with a quality Italian satin interior.
VIRGINIA CASKET
An American solid wood casket with casket bar handle and upholstered in superior white casket suite.
THE TIR CONAILL
A veneer coffin finished in a mahogany stain.
A beaded raised lid with dark shading is complimented with 3 panels to each side, each shaded dark at the edges to emphasise the profile sides. Fitted with gold handles, this coffin can be used for either burial or cremation.
HARVEST OAK CASKET
This is an oak casket with full bar handles and a couched lid and is lined with a superior casket inside set and has a harvest oak leaf on the interior of the lid.
THE TAY
The Tay is a budget coffin. Made of chipboard with a paper wood effect foil, it is lined with an economy stitch bond interior.
THE BUTE
This is a high riser triple raised lid polished veneered oak coffin with oak mouldings and fitted with ring handles, suitable for cremation or burial.
THE LAST SUPPER
The Last Supper Coffin is a veneered coffin finished with a mid oak stain and has an inset panel depicting the Last Supper. It is supplied with brass effect handles surrounded by engineered panels and has a high riser lid.
EUROCRAFT CASKET
This casket has been specifically designed for European funerals. It is finished with a dome
lid (half and half) and lined with superior crepe and taffeta interior.
THE SHANNON
This is a premium range hand made coffin with solid oak sculpted panel sides and elevated dome lid. Highly polished it is supplied with No.1 semi casket bar handles.
THE TIMELESS
A quality coffin finished in oak with a three stage raised lid. The handles are mounted within panels with engraved Celtic patterns on the sides.
THE PURITY
The Purity is an example of a range of coffins which can be finished in a selection of colours. Blue, Green, Red, Pink etc. Suitable for any form of committal, the coffin can be prepared in a flat or raised lid format. They are usually prepared with silver effect handles.
THE KINTYRE
A double raised lid coffin finished in a matt lacquer and made from African Obeche. This coffin is suitable for any committal and is fitted with Unicom mountings.
THE LOCH LONG
The Loch Long is a plain sided raised lid coffin finished in a light oak. It is fitted with brass effect Kingston handles.
THE LOMOND
The Lomond is a plain side raised lid veneer coffin finished in a dark oak-stain and mounted with brass effect Kingston handles.
BERKELEY
A solid ash coffin with an elevated raised lid, high gloss finish with hand crafted walnut burl Rose inlay. This premium coffin is upholstered in finest Italian coffin suite.
Interiors
THE STANDARD INTERIOR
The Standard Sideset is a plain taffeta lining trimmed with a simple braid. The coffin interior is lined with cremfilm and simple pillow.
THE CLASSIC INTERIOR
The Classic coffin set is an 18’’satin rucked frilling with elasticated dropover sides. The interior of the coffin is lined with waterproof cremfilm with the sides and bottom trimmed in stitch bond sheeting. The suite is available in white, blue or pink.
THE SIGNATURE LUXURY COFFIN SUITE
The Signature Suite is the premium coffin interior set. It comprises of a satin puffed ruffle frilling with dropover sides, padded side sheets and bed, a soft padded pillow and matching coverlet blanket. The suite is available in white, blue or pink.
